What you need to know about the drop & swop

Date: 17 Sept
Time: 10am-12pm
Venue: Paulshof

What is the purpose?

To have some fun,
To fellowship,
To shop and share, and
To “recycle” clothing – if you’re not wearing it, maybe it should be sitting in someone else’s cupboard.

What is a Preloved Drop & Swop?

Its a type of swopmeet wherein participants exchange their good condition but no longer used clothing for clothing they will use.
Clothing swops are considered a fantastic way to declutter and refill one’s wardrobe, as well as a good way to be kinder to our environment!

What are accessories?

Accessories are handbags, shoes, jewellery, belts – anything that you know as a women will give an outfit that extra lift!

What do you mean if clothes must be in good condition?

Please note that this isn’t a charity clothes drop off
We are looking for clothes that still have life and wear in them but that you have perhaps outgrown, got bored with or just think would look a whole lot better in someone else’s cupboard

How & when should the clothes be dropped off?

Please wash and iron the clothes before drop off
Please make sure they are in some form of a cover, as we don’t want the clothing and accessories to get damaged during transport
Drop off your clothing at church drop off table
Drop off dates: 28 August and 4 & 11 September

Anything else we should know?

If you don’t have clothes to swap, you are still more than welcome to purchase tokens and come on the 17th to redeem them, contact Maita or Ros for more info.
We would love to be able to bless others through this event and therefore we appeal to you to please bring sanitary towels for donation
We will be donating these items to the “A Million Comforts” campaign – you can read more about it here.

I have more questions – who do I contact?

Please feel free to direct all your questions to either Maita Skyle or Ros Evans
